Note: The ChatGPT Extension in Cliq uses OpenAI's GPT-3.5-turbo language model. For the summarize message action and slash command, GPT-3 is used.
Installation:
To install this extension, follow these steps:
- Go to the installation link and install ChatGPT's extension for Cliq from Zoho Marketplace.
- Upon successful installation, ChatGPT's bot will post a message on Cliq.
- Click on the Get Started button to consent and grant the necessary permissions for the extension to work.
- After granting permission, the bot will post another message with the necessary steps to configure the extension for your organization. If you're not an admin, you'll have to wait for your org admin to configure it before using the extension.
Choosing configuration type (need to be an admin):
Follow the steps mentioned in the ChatGPT bot's message and get the secret key from the OpenAI website.
Note: Sharing API keys may lead to sensitive data leakage and can pose a security threat. Make sure to handle them securely.
On clicking the configure button, you will get two options:
- Configure for entire organization - This option will use one API key (that the admin provides while configuring) for the entire organization.
- Allow employees to configure - This option will allow each user to use their own API keys from their OpenAI accounts for the extension.
Configuring the extension as a user:
If your admin has selected the option to allow users to configure the extension, follow these steps to configure it:
- Subscribe to the ChatGPT bot by searching for it.
- After subscribing, the bot will post a message in Cliq. Send any message in the conversation and the bot will provide you with instructions on how to configure.
- Follow the instructions and copy your secret token. Now click on the Configure button.
- Paste the key that you copied in the text box and click on Save.
Components:
This extension consists of the following internal components:
- Slash commands:
a. /chatgpt - Ask any question or request the AI to generate any text-based content (like a code snippet or a blog) using this command and the AI will generate an answer. An example would be asking the AI to generate a meeting agenda to discuss the week's goals progress.
b. /imagine - Generate an image using DALL-E based on a prompt or a description
c. /summarize - Summarizes the conversation in any channel/thread/DM etc.. (Note: Summary works only on the last 25 messages in the conversation) - Bot mention handler:
You can @mention the bot in any conversation and ask a question, which the bot will answer in the same conversation. You can take a look at the screenshot below for an example of how the bot mention handler works. - Bot message handler:
Have a one on one conversation with the ChatGPT bot where you can ask any question, or request the bot to generate any kind of text-based content. Note: It should be noted that we do not support context awareness as of now. But we are working to support it in our future updates. - Message action:
a. Summarize - Summarizes a long message to give a rough idea about the message content without having to read through the entire thing.
b. Create outline - Creates a quick rough outline for ideas shared, or decisions taken. Useful to strategize and plan in advance. For example, let's say your manager requests you to write a blog on a particular subject. You can use this message action to get an outline of the blog that you have to write and you can build upon it.
